A local Kentucky resident's PT Cruiser went missing late last evening after she returned home from work. Immediately after contacting the police, the car was reported by local residents as it was seen swerving around downtown in the rain, stopping at various Humane Societies and Pet Clinics on the way.
Local night-shift guard, Cleatus McFrugal who was supposed to be watching a Lexington vet clinic was injured during the car robbery. "I was getting a snack out of the vending machines," said McFrugal. "All of the sudden, a small dachshund broke into the clinic, releasing several dogs and cats from their cages. They ran to the car and took off speeding...all that was left was a little note that said 'The Tailyban will rise again!' with a paw print seal on it. I don't know what that means. "
The car is still missing and authorities say that they might have a lead. "We suspect that this might be connected to the Catnip Teeny-Beanie scandal up in Oklahoma," said Sheriff Smitty. "We thought we got rid of the Tailyban back in the early eighties. Maybe a few survived. " He had no further comment.
